Dr. Jannah Cummings is a native Metro-Detroiter. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology Pre-Health from Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, AL. She later went on to attend Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After earning her dental degree, Dr. Cummings completed a 12-month residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.

Dr. Cummings is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. In her spare time Dr. Cummings enjoys reading, spending time with family and binge-watching medical drama television shows.
