Dr. Lauren Carroll

Dr. Lauren Carroll currently serves as the VP Chief Medical Officer of Advantage Health Centers. Along with her administrative duties, Dr. Carroll also conducts patient care in the specialties of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the Waller Health Center located in midtown Detroit. Dr. Carroll obtained her bachelors of science with concentration in business at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. She obtained her Medical Doctorate at the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan where she also served as a student member of the Promotions and Tenure Committee.

She was the recipient of the Black Medical Association Silas J. Norman Achievement Award and Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Student Scholar of the Year Award. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine- Pediatrics at the Detroit Medical Center. During her residency training, she served as the resident recruitment coordinator. She was the proud recipient of the Internal Medicine- Pediatrics Community Service Award and Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Resident of the Year Award in her final years of training.

Dr. Carroll is dedicated to service of disadvantaged populations both in the United States and abroad, conducting medical and faith-based missionary work in South Africa, Haiti, Tanzania, Peru, and Jamaica. She is an active volunteer at her church where she not only serves the children of her congregation, but reaches out to the youth at the Wayne County Juvenile Detention Center.
