Janice Harbin Joseph, DDS

Dr. Joseph is a practicing dentist with over 29 years of experience – 23 years in public health dentistry and six years in private practice settings and community organizing. As dental director for Advantage Health Centers, she develops and manages clinical quality service delivery for the dental programs for the agency and delivers a full spectrum of general dentistry services to Advantage patients.

During her years as a community organizer, Dr. Joseph worked with city and suburban, Christian, Jewish and Muslim faith-based organizations which provides her with a unique perspective and sensitivity when working with all of our patients.

Dr. Joseph is a graduate of the Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, D.C., and an adjunct faculty member at the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry and is serving her second term as a member of the Michigan Oral Health Coalition Board of Directors.

Dr. Joseph is a strong advocate for complete health care for Advantage patients and recognizes the links between oral health and our general health. She reminds us all that, “The mouth is part of the body.”
